Zoey is a young 8 month old Catahoula x who came to us when one of our supporters was alerted to her. She had been hit by a car and left to die in a ditch, found by a member of the public.
Poor Zoey had a broken front leg, and she had an operation to plate the break. The operation was a great success and Zoey has had to have her exercise restricted in order to not put stress on her leg.
She is a great family dog size at only 18kgs, is super smart and has learnt commands very quickly. She is very sweet natured, and she has never shown any signs of aggression.
She will need a home where she can use her brain, perhaps someone who would like to teach her tricks. Because she is still a pup she will need to have her training continued.
You will notice that she is missing some pigmentation in one of her eyes, however this has been vet checked and does not impair her vision in any way.
Zoey would love to have an older brother who will not be too boisterous with her. She needs to NOT jump and keep on restricted exericse for the next few months. We will only be taking Auckland applications for her, as her vet follow up and foster homes have been here.
As with all ARAN dogs, Zoey must sleep indoors and live inside the house with her family. She must never be kept chained up.
Zoey has been de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped and registered and is up to date with flea/worm treatments.
There is an adoption donation of $300.00 to help towards these costs.
