2 years old

Buddy is one of our pound rescues who was unclaimed and unwanted. So unfair because Buddy is a lovely cuddly young adult dog who loves people and just likes to hang out with his folks and have fun.

Unfortunately for Buddy, who is a labrador cross, he had inherited an eye condition called Ectropian. He must have been in discomfort and pain all his life.

We took Buddy to a specialist ophthalmologist vet for surgery and the operation was a success and Buddy is 2 weeks into recovery. He will look normal and have normal eyes and eyesight, with no future issues. At the moment his eye lids are still healing, so dont be concerned about how they look! Buddy is just very happy to have the cone off!

Through all of this, Buddy has been cheerful and never sulking. Buddy has been learning to walk nicely on the lead. He would be best suited to someone used to an energetic solid dog who needs a bit more training, and is able to keep up with the good progress he has made in his foster home. Buddy plays well with other dogs and would enjoy a home with a dog friend.

He would appreciate some daytime human company and will need secure fencing and gates. A home visit/property check is required.

As with all ARAN dogs, Buddy must sleep indoors and live inside the house with his family. He must never be kept chained up.

Buddy has been health checked, de-sexed,fully vaccinated, microchipped, registered and is up to date with flea/worm treatments.

There is an adoption donation of $300.00 to help towards these costs. As you can imagine our expenses for Buddy have been many times this sum, but our adoption fees remain standard at $300 regardless.
