Ben is located in Palmerston North. Ben is a beautiful Kelpie X Huntaway puppy, very smart in his soft glossy black and tan coat. Ben’s foster family say that he is a very good boy, friendly and affectionate, great with people and other dogs. An active family is a must because this breed is very intelligent and needs an interesting and active life with exercise and training.

Ben’s new home must have good fencing, a safe secure place for him to be while you are out, and someone home some of the time during the day, and/or another dog buddy. ARAN dogs cannot be chained to kennels or left for long periods home alone. All ARAN dogs must sleep indoors.

There is an approval process to adopt and our adoptions start with a two week trial period, to make sure the dog is a good fit for you. If things don’t work out they return to their foster home.

Ben is vaccinated, microchipped and registered and is up to date with flea/worm treatments. He has a desexing contract for when he is old enough and that is included in his adoption fee.

There is an adoption fee of $300 to contribute towards these costs. This heavily subsidised adoption fee is approx 50% of what you would otherwise pay to have a new dog fully vetted and desexed, registered and chipped.

The first step if you are interested in adopting is to fill out an online adoption application which you can do here:
