Kora is an 18 month old female xbreed, currently being fostered by Allsorts Dog Training in Katikati.
Kora was rescued as a puppy with her siblings and she has some loss of hearing which has seemed to put people off adopting her. She struggled a lot as a teenager as she tried to figure out this strange sounding world. She has since matured a bit and is now more comfortable being left on her own in the safety of her crate. She can still be wary of some people she doesn’t know but quickly accepts them with the right approach and time. Once she’s relaxed in her home she shows lots of personality and is very cheeky and savvy. Loves a cuddle on the sofa, playing tug and running around with a frisbee in her mouth. Knows her basics and walks well on the lead in her harness. Motivated by food and enjoys gentle chest rubs. She’s a bit scared of the cats, horses and goats at her foster home (and will occasionally chase them if given the chance) . Generally good with other dogs but can be a bit of a bossy madam at times but does love to play with a variety of dogs. Could live with the right dog, ideally a male or passive female. Needs a calm, experienced, predictable home, ideally in a more lifestyle scenario as town life can be a bit daunting for her but you will need to have good fencing or good management systems to ensure she doesn’t go for a wander. She’s a really sweet dog who can be anxious at times but quite the character the next. She will be an incredibly loyal companion given the chance.
Kora is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, deflead, and wormed.
