Young Jerry is looking for a new foster home, if anyone Auckland based could help please do get in touch. He's not getting along too well with the other young male dog in his current household, hence the move, although he is bffs with the female dog there. So we do need a home ideally without other dogs or with a steady female dog. Jerry is very sweet and affectionate and is great with cats!
Please email us at email@example.com if you might be able to help and we will give you more info. Aran will provide all food, and pay for any vet bills and professional training needed.
Thank you! ... See MoreSee Less

Community Rehome - Unfortunately due to a family medical emergency Riko needs a new home asap. His ideal home would be on a lifestyle block where he would also be a pet (he loves daily walks). Hes currently located in the Rotorua area.
Riko is approx. 7- 9 years old and part Huntaway X Beardie;
He is neutered and microchipped
He’s great with the family cat, other dogs, and children.
He’s getting to be a senior dog now and has a little arthritis on cold days.
He does have a couple of quirks about barking around cars that visit – sometimes “an old dog won’t be taught new tricks”.
Had a vet visit today so up to date on vaccinations, etc…
He would love to live on another small lifestyle block, and/or have somebody that would hang out with him all day and just potter around – this is what he has been used to. Ideally a family will love him through his twilight years.
If you would like to meet Riko, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org ... See MoreSee Less

Urgent Foster or Home needed from Friday 19th June.
Dusty hasn't worked out in her new home, as she doesn't want to share with another pet. She is being de-sexed on Friday and needs a warm place to recuperate. Dusty is loving and affectionate to her humans. With some extra help, she will be a wonderful companion to a lucky person, but she has to be the one and only apple of your eye.
Can anyone help Dusty? Location needs to be in the Whanganui Manawatu region. ... See MoreSee Less

Meet our Indiana Jones and he’s on his Last Crusade.
This very handsome man has come in to a bit of a pickle. Unfortunately his family cannot provide the care he requires anymore and Indie has got his whip out and has asked ARAN Rescue to assist him in his next adventure.
Indie has his heart set on lovely rural setting (well maintained gardens not a criteria). What he would love to be is your one and only, so he can have all the hugs and kisses to himself.
Indie is a 7 Year old Beardie Cross and would love to be himself and explore.
He has been desexed and his favourite vet has applied all his vaccinations.
Unfortunately in his current circumstances, Indie is not getting on so well with his older brother and the newly introduced puppy. Indie seems to get nervous meeting other dogs and has reacted unusually. Hence why he would like live out rest of his best years being your only shining star.
Being home with Indie would make his dreams come true and push you right up the list of applicants.
Indie was originally adopted out by ARAN over a year ago and now we are assisting Indie to find his new forever home and family.
Indie must sleep indoors and live inside the house with his family. He must never be kept chained up.
To fill in an online adoption application please visit:
Or email us at mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org

Where is he located?
Would he be happy in a semi retired home where he could go everywhere with me?
He is so gorgeous 😍😍 I'd love to take him but we already have a dog who can be nervous with other dogs. Hope he finds a good home.
Gail Allende 😊
Poor boy, being replaced by a newer model. Hope you get a loving, indoor, forever home soon. Best wishes Indie. P.Lee
Bless him hope he finds a good home soon
How is he with cats, chooks and pet kunekune? My husband and I are looking for an older dog to join our whanau. We live in rural Taranaki on a 10acre lifestyle block.
Precious darling wishing you a loving home and a long happy life little one♥️
Would he be ok with children who have been taught to respect and love animals?
Has this boy been adopted? ❤
Where is he located

Looking for a home for super sweet Rosie, who came from a very neglected background, but is now doing well in her foster home. Rosie is smart and loves to run, so will need lots of exercise. She would make an excellent agility dog. Rosie is still anxious around loud noises and new experiences, so needs a patient and kind owner. She is happily living with other dogs and is only an alert barker.
Rosie shows too much interest in chickens to live with them and she has not been tested with cats. She is currently located in the Manawatu area.
Rosie is de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped and registered for the current period. Her adoption fee is $300.
Applications via email to email@example.com ... See MoreSee Less
Has Rosie been adopted?

Community Rehome (the ARAN Team have not met this dog) LOCATED IN NEW PLYMOUTH
Duff is 3 year old desexed American Staffy who urgently needs a good home due to a marriage split. We have been told he is absolutely amazing with kids, untested with cats, and best to be an only dog, although he can live with another dog but introductions need to be done slowly and carefully.
Unfortunately he suffers from separation anxiety and will bark and chew when left alone, so a home where someone is home most of the time is going to be required.

Thank you so much - Bear has a prospective new home ❣️
Community Rehome: This is Bear, a 4 year old border collie who didnt live up to expectations when it came to herding sheep on the farm, and was rescued by a kind lady. He is located in West Auckland.
"Bear has come from a place where no one really trained him, but he now knows sit and has quite good recall. He is a bit jumpy but that’s only because he is excited to see you and he is slowly learning not to do that. He is a border collie so he will need somewhere that is definitely fully fenced but are also high. He would also do really well somewhere where there is a bit of space . He is good on lead. He has been around my two girls and my old boy dog and has played really well and gets along with them fine. I’m not sure about cats or any other animals"
Bear will be desexed when we reach alert level 2 but in the meantime his carer Amelia would like to hear from anyone interested in giving him a kind forever home. Her phone number is 0212570350. ... See MoreSee Less

From the Team at ARAN Animal Rescue.
We all hope you are all keeping safe and well during these crazy times.
The ARAN team worked very hard prior to the lockdown, working with the many pounds getting as many Dogs and Puppies into foster care.
We would like to pass on a huge thank-you to all our fosters and people that assisted to get these wonderful lovely dogs/puppies in to a loving/happy environment. Thankyou👍👍.
Please post your lock down dog photos/videos to show us how you are keeping your dogs/Puppies active and amused during the lock down. Dress ups allowed lol.
Also please plan in advance, thinking about your dogs future separation anxiety when you finally return to work.
They will be so enjoying having you around every minute of the day and it will be a huge shock for them when you return to your normal daily working life.
Please post your dog/puppie videos and photos. 🐶🐶🐶 ... See MoreSee Less
Leroy has been learning how to jump toilet paper walls 😅
I brought the balloon out for the young one, he is still learning how to game, did not get it. My old boy however, 12 years with cancer had the best time tho 😆
We have been getting our dog to spend atleast an hour a day outside in the yard by himself. But does anyone have any other suggestions? I’m keen to hear any ideas 😊
Every day we have to find something new to entertain the two little ones. Today was rides on the garage creeper & molly chasing after her homan sister. This carried on for hours.... dad got a good arm workout 😜
Left to right Lacey,Teddy ex Aran, Phoebe, Buddy. Teddy loving life 😀
Two of these girls are Aran Rescue's, and the third is an SPCA girl.
Sonny is loving having his family home all day, every day! Hopefully his seperation anxiety doesn't come back once we go back to normal life
