Thank you so much to everyone who helped make our Fun Dog Show today a success.
Our Judge Dr Jess Beer from Kiwi Vet Behaviour did an amazing (and very hard) job picking the winners and placegetters, whilst at the same time being super-mum with her little cutie son who was so so good and so smiley. Thank you!
A massive thank you to Manako Sugiyama and her team who once again came to perform for the crowds, with amazing dogs and amazing routines.
Estelle Low and her team traveled all the way from Taranaki again, leaving at 5.30am this morning to get her in time, to bring us her gorgeously cool skateboarding, frisbee catching dogs. Thank you so much - we are very grateful.
We had a lovely Easter Chocolate raffle donated by Miqui and the team at Cadbury NZ, and this was organised by Jennifer Spencer, a big thank you to you all - our winner was delighted!
And lastly thanks to the Royal Easter Show for hosting us, and to all our competitors and dogs who looked wonderful today - we couldn't have done it without you all. ... See MoreSee Less

PEARL - currently in foster care just north of Auckland. She has settled in really well, and is enjoying life as an indoor dog (she's quite partial to the couch now).
We think Pearl is a huntaway x whippett - shes smaller than she appears in her photos.
Pearl was quite timid when she arrived, but is now coming out of her shell. She is approximately 11 months of age and we are told that she is good with other dogs, older kids and cats.
Pearl LOVES attention and gives you her paw in an effort to get you to love on her. She loves the two teenaged girls that she is living with.
As with all ARAN dogs, Pearl must sleep indoors and be allowed inside with her family. She must never be kept chained up.
Pearl has been de-sexed, has had first vaccinations,is microchipped and registered and is up to date with flea/worm treatments. ... See MoreSee Less

Big thanks to Jennifer Spencer and the team at Device Technologies for their $150 donation to ARAN 🙂 They ran an Easter raffle for a big basket of chocolate, thanks to Miqui and his team at Cadbury NZ for donating the chocs. The lucky winner, Amber Raudon, is pictured.
We would also like to thank Suzanne at the K9 Raw Food Barn for her donation. Thank you, we are so grateful to everyone who donates and fund raises for us! ❤️ ... See MoreSee Less

UPDATE: Thanks so much everyone, we had so many offers of help for Wilbur and he is now settling in to an amazing foster home 🙂
This beautiful boy, Wilbur, joined us today. We couldn't find a foster place for him in time but couldn't bear to leave him behind either. So he is staying on our friend and driver Aly Crone's couch tonight 💞 However this is only a temporary situation and Wilbur needs a foster home urgently. He is one of the softest, smoochiest dogs I've ever met, loves to give big soft bear hugs and will climb onto your lap given half a chance. He is good with other dogs and very gentle. Located Auckland If you can help us to help Wilbur please email us asap. Thank you 💞 ... See MoreSee Less

He’s gorgeous 💕
Oh my word, he’s beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
O he is handsome 💗
He's absolutely gorgeous! 💜😊 I wish we were allowed animals in our rental. 🙁 I would have in a heartbeat, such a lovely boy. Rescues are the best friends you could ask for. I hope he finds a perfect forever family, who will love him, like he deserves to be. 💜
We can help to foster until permanent home found. We in Auckland. We do have a cat, how is he with cats.

This sweet young man is called Dash and we are advertising him on behalf of our friends at WISCA
He is 7 months old, his dad is a Catahoula and his mum is a Border Collie/Hunterway/Beardie, he was born on a farm and spent his early life there so he is used to space and an active life. He is good with kids, is currently in foster care with cats and is good with most dogs, although he's not keen on 'in your face' kind of dog behaviour. He has basic obedience, is desexed and fully vaccinated.
Located Waiheke Island. If you are interested in Dash please contact Michell at WISCA direct: By email at Michell@wisca.co.nz or message their fb page or call her on 027 539 5107

UPDATE - Quila has her freedom ride tomorrow. Thanks to all who are helping and those who offered. Thank you also to pound staff who kept her for us way beyond her allotted time 🙂
HELP! Quila is STILL in the pound and we need help URGENTLY to get her to her foster (maybe new) home in Wainuiomata. Pound staff can get her to Waiouru on Friday, but thats where our troubles start - how to get her from there south. We do have a ride going from Marton on Saturday back to Wellington, so if we can tie that with an overnight stay, then that would work.
Open to any suggestions anyone may have. Thanks 🙂 ... See MoreSee Less
Then Quila arrived, had a wee and had tummy rubs and settled. We all slept through the night. I’m excited for today. Thank you to the team that got her here. I am gratful. Thank to the Aran team for the co-ordination 💖
Quila is coming to stay with us and she’s arrived! Yesterday was such a long day for my wee girl Fanny, who was waiting and waiting for Quil. This photo was taken about 1pm. “Mummmmm where is she?”
I can collect her on Monday from Waiouru and bring back. I live in Waikanae - perhaps can arrange foster mum at a convenient point?
Penny Berthoud ??
She looks really cool
she can stay at ours in wellington overnight if needed
What breed do you think she maybe🤔 and age please😊
Hey guys, I’m doing Hamilton to Wainuiomata on Friday night if I can help out again. Would be a late drop off like I did with Neo that’s the only issue. Let me know if we can help 🙂
Hey, I live in Waiouru and travel to Marton every sat. Does she get on with other dogs? As we have 3.
Is anyone going from Waiorou to Palmerston North. I can pick her up from P North?
Joanne Rutherford looks like your kinda dog
Renee Evans do you know anyone?
Has this been sorted?? We could potentially help out Michael Dunstan
Nicole Doriguzzi I’ve PM’d you, I don’t mind driving up to get her
Amber Sergent so cute
Nick Byrt look at this girl, she lools lole such a character.
This big soft guy, Angelo, is waiting patiently in the pound. We have just about everything arranged for him but we are missing one little piece of the jigsaw, a temporary foster home for four or five days in Auckland. He has a foster home waiting from April 21st and a temporary one from the 18th-21st but we need somewhere from next weekend up until the 18th. If anyone could possibly help we, and he, would be so grateful. He's an easy going good natured boy, good with other dogs and doesn't seem at all interested in the sheep currently in the next door paddock. Sorry but we have no idea of his thoughts on cats. ... Frustrating he is up north or I would foster in a second. Have shared just in case xx good luck
Is there a permanent home for him as I am looking for a big dog for my nephew in caring for larger breeds
Has a temp foster for Angelo been sorted?
Hes beautiful x
Where is he? My current foster will be going on her two week trial this weekend so I could have him. Home without cats, just two dogs and a 5 yr old boy.
If you haven’t found anyone to foster in Auckland I could take him.
Can definitely take him, (if all fall through with other offers). I’m in Coromandel and don’t mind driving.
Does he need a home? Or just a foster? What area is he please?
Hope some kind person helps you soon Angelo and you get a loving, indoor forever home. P.Lee
Where is he located ?
We can take him. PM me.
Could he do 5 days in day care of some kind?
I can help if he's in Auckland
Jordan-Lee Hoeflich this looks like Orzo 😢 would Pauly foster him for a few days? I totally would be we go away on 16th

I can take him for that period, I am in Hamilton
Catherine Gow Lorraine Harman know of anyone that can help for a few days?
How is he with kids
Omg I wish I could take him...
Maureen Davie just a few days
Freckles is waiting to meet her forever family in Auckland.
She’s done really well in her foster home and is currently living with a dog and a cat. She’s sweet natured and eager to please 😄
Freckles would love to have some daytime company and maybe a doggy brother. She will need daily exercise and a couch to relax on.
If you would like to meet Freckles please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will send you our pre-adoption form. ... See MoreSee Less

We have these two beautiful boys currently in the pound, they both need a foster home, foster-to-adopt or forever home asap so that we can get them out.
The black Mastiff X boy is ANGELO, he is a neutered male, 6 years old, very affectionate and friendly and good with other dogs. He is a big boy, but hey that's just more to love 😍.
The Border Collie X boy is MACK he is 3 years old, also neutered and good with other dogs. Mack was very frightened when he first got to the pound, however he came out of his shell after one of the staff members spent time reassuring him and he now loves her and is happy and affectionate. We would like MACK to go to a fairly quiet steady home as he's a sensitive soul.
There are more photos on our Instagram page @aran_rescue
We can arrange transport for both to Auckland
We need to get something in place for these two within the next few days so if you can help please get in touch with us via email at email@example.com
Thank you 💞 ... See MoreSee Less

Scooby Doo is still looking for his forever home
Scooby is a 1.5 -2 year old ridgeback x that would like to be everyone's best friend but doesn't know his own size. This clumsy giant loves nothing more than sitting on your knee on the couch and sleeping in bed with his head on your chest. Scooby has been waiting months at Nicole's foster home in Wellington with no real interest in him and is desperate to find his forever home. Nicole Doriguzzi would be willing to transport him (within reason) if there was a really good application.
Because Scooby bowls everything in his path over when he plays he would not be suited to a home with children. He is very strong on a leash and is learning not to pull so would need a strong owner. Scooby's ideal owner would be a strong man that was a tradie that could take Scooby to work with him and train him.
Scooby knows sit, handshake and is toilet trained but needs to go to a home where someone will be dedicated to his training. He is not good with cats. He loves other dogs his size but is better behaved without dogs to rark him up.
Excellent fencing and gates are needed. As with all ARAN dogs, Scooby must sleep indoors and be allowed inside with his family. He must never be kept chained up.
Scooby is de-sexed, vaccinated, and microchipped and has had flea/worm treatments . There is an adoption donation of $50.00 to help towards these costs.
To fill in an online adoption application please visit: form.jotform.co/aranrescuenz/questionnaire
Nicole has lots of other dogs at her home in Upper Hutt which are also up for adoption. ... See MoreSee Less
