Our puppies will be ready for adoption soon and we are taking expressions of interest!
These babies are now 5 weeks old and 4 females and 2 males are still looking for homes. They will be ready for adoption at 8 weeks old but successful applicants can meet the pups from now on.
They are mixed breed and will grow to be medium/large dogs. Their mum Dottie has a lovely cruisy nature and has been a soft and doting mama to her pups. You can see more photos of Dottie on our Instagram page @aran_rescue We don't know who their daddy is!
These babies are being fostered in the Thames area.
They are getting lots of socialisation with other dogs and getting exposure to day to day life, humans, children, lots of comings and goings, setting them up to be well rounded pups when they are ready to go to their forever homes. They are all smart and sweet and will make great dogs!
We are taking expressions of interest to find them forever homes ❤ Please fill out the form below if you are interested in providing a great and loving home for them. Please note that we will not send pups anywhere, prospective parents must go to meet the pups in their foster home and pick them up when they are ready for adoption. www.jotform.com/aranrescuenz/questionnaire ... Rescues all over NZ are bursting at the seams and we are no different. As we don't have a shelter, we need fosters to care for them. There are young pups and older dogs in Pounds, that we can't get out without knowing they have somewhere safe to go. We do as much as we can, but with more foster families, we could do so much more. Everything a dog needs is supplied by us.
Help us help the dogs by opening your home for a foster dog.
If you are willing or just want to find out more, contact us or complete our form. We are looking for fosters from Auckland to Wellington.

One of our pups that went from foster to a lovely family.
Love fostering! Knowing you are making a difference in their lives makes it so worth it! Here's our current foster enjoying the sunshine on my lap this morning. 💕
Highly encouraged. Here’s our foster-fail, Bram.
Oh dear!! Why oh why don't people get them fixed, take the $ signs from their eyes and realise cute puppies don't stay small & cute very long. Appreciate personal circumstances do change though. U guys do a great job.
Fostering is a really rewarding opportunity to give back. I highly recommend it if you can.
I may be ready to get back on the fostering horse soon!
Chantel Jessica maybe we need to help foster while im stuck at home and so Nala has a mate
We'll give it a go!

Jimbo has found his new home but whoops he totally forgot to purchase his Bus ticket.
Could you help by giving this lovely Hitchhiker a lift this Saturday????
He needs to meet his adopters at 12pm in Taupo this Saturday.
Jimbo is currently been pampered in Palmerston North and would love to sponge a lift if you could accommodate.
His fantastic foster could meet you in Bulls to streamline his travel.
You will be repaid in unconditional love and a bucket of licks. ... See MoreSee Less
Jimbo made his trip to Taupo yesterday and is off on his new life. Many thanks to all that offered to help this lovely boy.
How’s it, if no ride is found by Saturday. flick me a message and I’ll happily take him to his new family
If needed, I could get him from Palmerston North to Taupo, but not until Sunday. I'm traveling to Auckland.
Does it need to be Saturday? I know someone heading to Taupo tomorrow.
if someone can get him to Taranaki we can take him to Taupo on saturday?
So happy for him.
POSTED ON BEHALF (very genuine reason) Beautiful Bella, fun, healthy, chilled and needs a kind indoor home and new mummy!
Bella's mum is traveling with her to Wellington next weekend and can meet prospective families along the route.
HI HOOMANS, I'M BELLA AND I'M LOOKING FOR A NEW MUMMY. MUM & I ARE SAD AND THIS IS A BIG DECISION FOR US.
Mum has had a lot of changes since she adopted me (well rescued me from being very sad and neglected) 5 and 1/2 years ago. We've been so happy together. Now mummy has to move and is leaving Auckland and going on a big plane too. I love the beach and big green spaces. I'm am relaxed in a farm/lifestyle block environment and with chickens, sheep etc.
Mum says I am such an amazing girl. I know mum is biased but it's true I'm a lover not a fighter, I love all dogs from teeny to tall(TBH I think cats are for chasing but would never hurt one). I'm such a good companion and company as I'm so loving and gentle.
I love one big walk a day or I'm sunbathing and napping. I love my routine and feeling safe. I'm definitely an inside dog and you can leave me home inside when you are out.
I was very very scared of humans when mum got me. It took us many years to undo that damage and now I'm much more relaxed. Other stuff;
*I'm 7 years old
*While I'm 7 most people think I'm about 2 or 3 when they see how fun I am with other dogs
*I'm half ridgeback, half staffy so my parents are super tall and super short , I'm in between like a small lab height
*I'm registered & desexed
*Mum has had pet insurance in case I get sick or have an accident and would encourage it to be transferred
*I eat a mix of dry and wet food and as I have really good health I'm good with certain supermarket food
*I do have a small 'medical' issue which is not uncommon with female dogs and I need medication which is about $100 every 2 months, overall am very healthy and strong
*I'm great with kids
*I don't like loud noises and too frantic a household …I’m use to a relaxed quiet home.
Mum said she will be really careful about me going somewhere new so will ask questions and want to know about you. Please msg us and tell us about you if you want to discuss further. Lots of love Bella. ... See MoreSee Less

His fantastic foster has to go out of city this weekend. Jimbo is located in Palmerston North.
He will bring his best manners. ... See MoreSee Less

We have some wonderful dogs looking for a foster home or their forever home.
1/ Bus is such a dude . He is under 2 years old. A little full on and needs lots of exercise. But Bus does chill after a bit. Loves other dogs, very playful, so would suit another active dog for company. Hates being home alone… that’s why he was wandering. Be great for an active family .
He’s good with the horses and stock too He has been desexed and Vaccinated.
2/ Cilla, staffy x, only about 17.5 kgs so not that big. Cilla is approx. 18 months old. Has recently had puppies, so not spayed yet but will be. She was found wandering. She has only lived at one property most of her life but not well socialised She is really starting to get more confident each day. She’s quite shy, but very sweet. Cilla will need quiet home with someone who will give her time to build her confidence . She’s been vaccinated.
3/ Gus is a the beagle x huntaway… ( we think), lovely boy, jumps all over you at the pound, but take him out and he’s better. He does need training, only young, probably about 9/10 months old. Been vaccinated, still needs to be neutered. He has a possible forever family in Wellington so at this stage he is looking for a temporary foster near Wellington.

We are sharing Tippy’s plea for a home on behalf of Missing K9 Response Wellington.

Love Tippy❤️❤️ ... See MoreSee Less
Tippy is beautiful … sorry we can’t have her-got a dog (Molly) that suffers separation anxiety … have had our girl for four years and it’s not that hard to cope with … I’m home most days-trained Molly to follow me wherever I go on the section; she’s got a abfab special soft crate & a special fluffy bed - so, after four years, Molly isn’t to bad … if we do leave her alone, always put her on a huge fuss when we get home! Hoping Tippy finds her forever home ❤️❤️❤️❤️ these dogs are rather special 💕
She is beautiful but sadly don’t own my own home, also have a rescue dog n a cat. Oh I so hope she fines the right home. All the best Tippy😍
Sadly with that list of restrictions, it’s not going to be easy to find a suitable home. I wish I could take her 😢
If I didn’t already have two dogs I would have her. Can be with her all the time but no fences
She is stunning 😍
Does she like kids, other dogs and cats?
Tippy looks lovely!
The rehoming and support teams at ARAN Animal Rescue would like to send a HUGE Thank you to all our wonderful foster carers, past and present.
Through their love and dedication, foster families give the dogs and puppies everything they need to start their journey towards a new life.
We are a small team who have families and day time jobs keeping us busy on top of our work with the dogs, so your willingness to take a foster pup into your home to care for means we can achieve great outcomes for them.
As ARAN does not have kennels and accommodation for multiple dogs, we fully depend on the kindness of others who can provide safe accommodation for our rescues, many of whom have never known a happy home in their lives.
The gorgeous Ollie in the video is one of the many amazing dogs helped on his way by a team effort from volunteers and foster folk. Our team at ARAN Rescue met him at the pound and saw that despite being underweight and neglected, as well as deaf, and needing eyelid surgery, he had so much potential, with his sweet and happy temperament.
We made a call out for help with him and luckily for Ollie, Anna from Paws Awhile Sanctuary contacted us.
So started his journey with a trip to the vets, from where he was collected by ARAN volunteer Summer Jayne who took him on a road trip to her home for a short stay there to recover from his desexing, before going into temporary foster in Taranaki with Dee Fitzsimons.
Ollie travelled the next week to Paws Awhile Sanctuary. Due to Ollie requiring eye surgery, Anna has taken him to Auckland at least twice for the operation and followup.
Thank you to Anna and family for everything you have done for Ollie and to all our other fosters for your great work.
Fostering is so very rewarding. The dogs come from the pound environment unsure of what lies ahead, then after experiencing love and care, relax and become the dogs they always should have been.
If you would like this rewarding experience and have good fencing, a secure and happy home and the time to enhance our dogs lives, please fill out our online Foster form.

You guys are amazing 🤩
Hey….. I’m Rocco.
I am desperately needing to find my new family. I will bring unconditional love to your clan and bring a smile to anyone that crosses my path.
I am a very cuddly boy and totally loveable.
I am tapping my paws waiting for you to adopt me.
Unfortunately my foster mum can not look after me soon and I am searching for a place to stay but my goal in to become your newest family member.
My foster Mum has written a CV about me, which is displayed below.
Rococos Foster Mum.
Rocco will need a very special home so please unless you are ready to put in a lot of work and can provide this sweet boy the home he needs then you are not for him.
This is what we know about him.
Rocco was found dumped on the side of a rural road. He is scared to be shut in anything but we have managed to crate train and he is comfortable in his crate at night thanks to his fantastic foster.
He is scared of being on a lead and ongoing training will be needed to reassure him that he is safe walking on a leash. He is scared of being in a car or being in a house with the door closed, he tries to sit on you or be as close as he can possibly get to you and has his tail between his legs the whole time.
He can also jump a 6ft fence with ease so is hard to contain, so he will need some sort of run that has a roof.
His happy place is running and playing with another dog about the same size.
Rocco has been living on a rural property where there are sheep, goats ducks and chickens, Rocco started chasing the lambs so sadly he cannot be around stock.
Rocco needs a lot of gentle training, someone that can earn his trust and understands he has had an awful start to life.
Someone that can make sure he gets lots of exercise and then have him in a safe place. He is good inside in his crate at night.
Rocco is a Whippet cross and is about 18 months he is neutered and microchipped.
Rocco is great around other dogs, loves kids but is too bouncy for small children, is good with confident cats, is good with people.
If you know you can provide this guy with a loving home where he can slowly heal please get in touch.
He has his problems but everyone that meets him falls in love with him. He is a sweet dog and deserves a chance.
Rocco is currently in the Wellington region.
Please fill in one of Arans forms to adopt me pretty please and then you can help me live the life I was meant to live. BUT I need you❤️❤️
