Come on New Zealand, we need to do better - although we know weโ€™re preaching to the converted here.

This is Franklin, a puppy found dumped in a cardboard box at the end of a road. Where are his brothers and sisters? And who neglected him so badly and then threw him away like rubbish ๐Ÿ˜ฅ He was found by members of the public who put him up on FB free to a good home. Heโ€™s now with one of our volunteers and is getting some well needed TLC.

Please, if you cannot afford to desex your dog, contact a local rescue or SPCA, or get advice from your Council, to see if they can assist and take steps in the meantime to make sure your dog doesnโ€™t breed. Weโ€™ve heard of people who are going to let their dogs have a litter so they can sell the pups to pay for desexing. Letโ€™s tell you how thatโ€™s going to turn outโ€ฆbadly. Quite simply there are not enough homes and too many animals.

Take responsibility, be kind, be empathetic. We, and every other rescue, is sick of this stuff happening day in, day out ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Thank goodness little one you are in safe hands now ๐Ÿฅฐ๐Ÿฅฐ

How is Franklin doing

Does this pup have a fund account to donate to

Poor wee darling. He's lucky to be in your hands.

Yep...all the last if the litter that didn't sell, got too big and no one wanted them because they weren't a puppy. Dogs don't regret not having puppies!!! They don't NEED to have puppies.

Heartbreaking โค๏ธ‍๐Ÿฉน

Blessed that we have people like you helping! Poor thing

im getting so effed up with people having the gall to call themselves humas, we are fostering 2 pups, different litters but one found in a chilly bin with 4 siblings and she is the most sweetest thing eva

Poor little pup hopefully he’s on a good path from now onwards

Apple is an adorable 8 week old mixed breed puppy located in Taranaki. ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿพ

She's a friendly, confident, clever little girl who loves to play! Apple is looking for a responsible home with people who are able to raise and train a larger breed dog. She would love a home with another friendly dog or some older kids to play ball with, as well as somewhere where she gets lots of exercise, outings, and TLC.

The first step if you are interested in adopting is to fill out an online adoption application, which you can do here ๐Ÿ‘‡

Cute ๐Ÿงก

What breeds is she, she is adorable

Update: located North Shore, Auckland

ON BEHALF Handsome smiley Winston is a 5 year old boy whose current owner has a genuine reason for not being able to keep him. She found him when he was 12 months old, in a bad situation and has cared for him since. But now he urgently needs a new home,.
We have not met Winston but we have been told that he is a sweet, playful, affectionate boy who is good with other dogs and children. Maybe not suitable with cats. Winston loves people, but he is still a bit scared of new folks, but warms up once he knows them. He's not a great watchdog, so if you are after a big scary watchdog, this is not him! Winstone is desexed, vaccinated, registered and microchipped.

If you are interested in helping Winston, please email us at [email protected] with the subject line "Winston" and we will pass on to Winston's mum. Thank you.

UPDATE Pip does have a homne now and will be going on trial shortly. Thanks to all who offered for Pip.On behaf for CHARM Animal Rescue Whanganui.
Pip is a beautiful and sweet natured greyhound cross, eight months of age. Pip has come from a background of being caged most of her life and she has thrived since being released into a normal environment, but still has a wee way to go to come right out of her shell. She is great with other dogs and is currently living with numerous cats, and is fine with them. She is "half-trained" for livestock, being respectful and timid with large farm animals, but she has shown a bit of "interest" in the ducks, so will need supervision and training with poultry.

Please note Pip is being homed strictly as a pet/companion. not as a hunting dog, thank you.

Pip has now been de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped and registered and treated for parasites.
There is heavily subsidised adoption fee of $150 to contribute towards these costs.
UPDATE: Pip does have a home now, thanks to all who responded.

Pip's new home must have a safe secure place for her to be while you are out. Pip must not be chained, or caged for long periods, or left for very long periods home alone. Pip needs someone home at least part of the day, and preferably a doggy friend to play with and keep her company. Pip's home must provide a nighttime sleeping place indoors.

There is an ARAN Rescue approval process to complete which includeds a home visit/property check. Adoptions are subject to a contract, and start with a two week trial period, to make sure Pip is a good fit for you. If things don't work out she must be returned to CHARM Rescue.

The first step if you are interested in adopting is to fill out an online ARAN adoption application which you can do here:

Are you Stevies Hero??

Itโ€™s coming up Christmas and this pup needs a home and a family.

Squiggly Stevie needs a Foster or Forever home.

Located In Wellington and he needs to get out of the pound. Can you help him??๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ.

He is 12 small weeks old and loves people. Squiggly Stevie is a Huntaway X and really really loveable.

Stevie will be desexed when appropriate , vaccinated, registered and chipped.

There is an adoption fee of $350 to contribute towards these costs. This is heavily subsidised for you and represents approximately half of what it would cost you normally.

Stevieโ€™s new home must have a safe secure place for him to be while you are out. ARAN dogs cannot be chained to kennels or left for very long periods home alone. Stevie needs someone home at least part of the day, and preferably a doggy friend to play with and keep him company. All ARAN dogs must sleep indoors.

There is an approval process to complete which includeds a home visit/property check. Our adoptions are subject to a contract and start with a two week trial period, to make sure the dog is a good fit for you. If things don't work out they return to their foster home.
